A New Frontier
About a year ago, I purchased my first cameras that shoot both still photographs and HD video. I now find video to be a liberating medium that will provide me with one more avenue for expression. To that end, I have decided to add a lot of video specific gear to my line-up, including this shoulder mounted camera rig that arrived Saturday and these professional audio accessories that arrived today.
Home Run
I came up with this concept based on what I have seen time and time again when teams win the big game. I first started out shooting 4 models and then decided to simplify things by pairing the cast down to just Radek F and Damon G.
Cut!
I think it took about 20 painful takes to nail this challenging image. By the time I had the shot, the models torsos were red and there hair was covered in dust.
One Day A Month
I had a very busy day today... I met with an HIV / AIDS charity to discuss how I can volunteer my services to help them with their marketing initiatives. I did this last year for The Edge Alliance and helped them with a campaign for their Dining Out For Life event. After plastering my pictures all over buses and magazines, the charity raised more than three times what they usually raise from this event. It is my goal for 2011 to volunteer at least 12 days of my time to help others make the world a better place. I would like to challenge all of you to do the same... after all, it is only one day a month.
Bundled-Up for the Bears
I over dressed for the Bears-Seahawks game today. I was expecting the temperature to be in the teens... but it was a warm 21! The Bears won 35-24.
Warm Blast From September Past
It wasn't too long ago that I could shoot in a t-shirt..... now I cant even walk around the house with one on thanks to the frightful winter weather out doors.... I hope this blast from the past brings a little heat to your winter Sunday.
